Santiago Segura has just presented Garfield, film based on the story of the well-known cat that Jim Davis created more than 40 years ago. The actor and film director voices the mythical orange feline in a tape that, in addition, features the voices of Alaska and Pepe Rodríguez, the chef and jury of MasterChef.

In an interview for CineramaSegura has expressed his opinion about certain films choosing influencers to voice the characters: “I see it and I suffer. I say but they don’t realize that I don’t.”

He added that “dubbing is amazing how easy it is” and he said that he enjoys it “enormously”: “For me it is a joy when a production company tells me ‘hey, would you like it’. Where should I go? Then you “You’re going to enjoy it and give it expressiveness, which the cartoon already has, and then you just let yourself go.”

In the comments on TikTok, many respond that How dare he say that when he is part of the voice cast of the film Pepe Rodríguez by MasterChef, who doesn’t exactly seem like an expert on the subject.

“If M’s is thereasterchef in the dubbing, how are you going to have the nerve to say that”, “and on top of that they also dub Alaska and the Masterchefthey have a face made of reinforced concrete” and “Ah, but if he is a judge of a cooking competition, is work intrusion okay?” are some of the messages that can be read.
