Málaga CF had to have one of the most important squads in First RFEF in this season, but the reality is that a large part of the players are falling far short of expectations. What should have been a long block thanks to the 23 tokens allowed – in addition to Murillo, with a subsidiary license but for all purposes of the first team – has become a group with people who do not add up. The truth is that Sergio Pellicer It has a very defined core of players who share almost all the minutes of the season. In fact, 34 days later, only 14 of them have reached the figure of 1,000 minutes. The rest, for one reason or another, have had a residual or insignificant participation. Second swords missing.

And it seems that Pellicer The tree shakes a lot because it hardly repeats alignment from one day to the next (it has only happened once in the entire course and it was before going to Cordova) and also in this course (and not counting the Copa del Rey) up to 30 different players have participated. Some youth players for their own merit and for the demerit of those ahead. Some “break down the door”, as Nules would say, while others close it on themselves.

The king of minutes is Alfonso Herrero, with a total of 3,060 minutes, 34 complete games. It follows Jokin Gabilondo, who has been a starter in 30 of the 34 games and totals 2,752. Then it appears Roberto Fernandez, who missed some games due to physical problems but has still been in 31 games, 29 since the start and a total of 2,479 minutes. It follows very closely Nelson Montewho also had a period of several weeks injured and still has 2,454 minutes in his legs after 29 days (28 as a starter).

The 2,000 club is completed Danny Lorenzo (2,153, 32 games and 23 starts), Genaro Rodríguez (2,074, after 29 games, 26 in the eleven) and Dioni Villalba (2,019, 32 games and 22 as a starter). They approach them Einar Galilea (1976, 24 games, 22 starts) and Kevin (1,912, 27 games and 23 starts). A hypothetical eleven would be formed in minutes played with David Larrubiawho has played in all 34 games – but has been a starter in 22 and totaled 1,758 minutes – and Victor with 1,672 minutes, 26 participations, 19 starts.

Player number 12 would be precisely the one wearing that same number: Manu Molina. The Huelva native has enjoyed 1,664 minutes in his 25 games (19 starts). Then I would go Dani Sanchez, who is barely counting in the last stretch of the league when he was one of the most recurring players: 1,396 minutes, 24 games played, 15 as a starter. 1,051 minutes takes a Juande Rivas who has been in 13 games (12 starts).

The others are all 800 minutes or less, with the youth squad being Murillo the one who marks this figure with 12 games played and nine as a starter. One fact to keep in mind and that speaks ill of some others is that after him there is David Ferreirowho arrived in the winter market and has spent 741 minutes on the pitch in just 12 days (9 in the eleven).

Then, a trio that is being disappointing this season: Luca Sangalliwho has played 653 minutes (14 games, eight as a starter), Juanpewhich is in 605 minutes (18 games, only five in the starting eleven) and Juan Hernandezwho has 530, although he has stepped on grass in 20 days (also only five at the start).

Homegrown players and winter signings

Izan Merinowho does not play from 0-3 to Alcoyano, has had 324 minutes in five days (three starters). It doesn’t speak well for the winter market that there are more than those who have been around for so long Javier Aviles as Carlos Puga. 291 and 218 respectively. Without counting Loren Zunigawhich came out in the January window (220 minutes), the following are Antoñito Cordero (213), Moussa Diarra (212), Aaron Ochoa (199), Ramon Enriquez (121 in four games) and the 54 in which he stayed Haitam Abaida before his serious injury. Bilalwhich as Loren He left the team, he barely had five minutes, the same as the youth player Jesus Martin against Melilla in La Rosaleda.
