The Aena airport network in the Balearic Islands plans to operate a total of 6,629 flights in this May Day weekbetween this Tuesday, April 30 and Sunday, May 5which is 20.92% more than the 5,482 flights in the same period of 2023, but with one more day, according to the data provided by the airport manager.

In detail, the Palma airport foresees 4,659 movements between April 30 and May 5, of which 704 will take place on Tuesday; 765, on Wednesday; 738, on Thursday; 807, on Friday; 887 on Saturday and 758 on Sunday.

The one of Ibiza will operate a total of 1,381 flights these six days: 183 on Tuesday, 207 on Wednesday, 224 on Thursday, 241 on Friday, 262 on Saturday and 264 on Sunday.

And the Menorca airport, a total of 589: 73 on Tuesday, 100 on Wednesday, 91 on Thursday, 102 on Friday, 110 on Saturday and 113 on Sunday.

On the other hand, Iberia Express will increase its operations with the archipelago, with ten extra flights and 1,800 additional seats, to respond to the increase in demand due to the May long weekend in Madrid. The frequencies to Ibiza add eight additional flights and two flights are added to Palma. On the Menorca-Madrid route, two daily flights will operate on the bridge.

The airline will offer a total of 295 flights and more than 55,000 seats between Madrid and the archipelago. These figures already include the growth scheduled for this summer season.
