Cordova continues to lose inhabitants. According to the update of the 2023 census published by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA), a hundred fewer people live in the province than a year ago, in 2022, and 2,620 fewer than the 2021 data in the same table .

Specifically, the province has 775,002 residents, 108 less than in 2022, which in percentage terms translates into a drop of 0.01%. It is, along with Jaén, the only Andalusian province that loses population, although the province of Jaén does so to a greater extent, with 3,554 fewer inhabitants in one year.

The update of the census attests that in the province of Cordoba more women live than men. There are 395,763 women and 379,239 men. By age group, 113,531 minors from 0 to 15 years of age live in Córdoba, 502,522 from 16 to 64 years of age and 158,949 from 65 years of age and older. The majority of Cordobans -536,939- reside in the same municipality in which they were born, while 119,092 live in another municipality of Córdoba, 40,226 in another Andalusian province. Likewise, 42,320 people have moved to another autonomous community and 36,425 were born abroad.

Of these foreigners, lthe majority comes from , 9,794, followed by the rest of the countries in Europe, 9,646, Africa with 4,711 and Asia with 1,805. Countries stand out such as , nationality of 4,857 people living in Córdoba, Morocco 3,063, Colombia, with 2,111 inhabitants or 985 from China. Likewise, there are 13 people from a country in Oceania and 28 stateless. Foreigners from France, Morocco, Argentina and Colombia have grown.
