Four ships dock this May 1st at the Dock, including the Oasis of the Seas, which was repaired in Navantia.

Rainy but intense day at the Cádiz dock this May 1st with the arrival of four cruise ships at the port of the capital. The first of them arrived at dawn. This is the L’ Austral with more than 260 passengers on board. A ship that dates back to 2011, and that will be in the capital until 3:00 p.m., when it leaves for Lisbon. Also early in the morning, she docked at the port of Le Champlain, a cruise ship with capacity for about 200 passengers, and which will remain in Cádiz until 10:00 p.m.

The third to enter the dock was the Oasis of the Seas, also at dawn. A Royal Caribbean company ship where up to 6,000 passengers can travel. Remember that this ship was under repair in Navantia in 2019 after suffering an accident in the Bahamas. On this tourist visit, she will remain in the capital until 6:00 p.m., at which time she will depart for Malaga.

And the last to arrive in the capital will be the Costa Diadema, with capacity for nearly 5,000 tourists, which will arrive at 9:00 a.m. and will be in the port until 7:00 p.m. when it heads towards Coruña.

In addition to these four cruise ships, the port of Cádiz has received three other ships this week. The Viking Neptune visited the city last Monday with capacity for nearly 1,000 passengers, and has the peculiarity that it only admits people over 18 years of age on board. Thus, during the day this Tuesday, the Aidacosma and Silver Dawn were protagonists at the city dock. The first is the longest ship in the world with more than 330 meters in length and capacity for 5,200 passengers. She was in the capital until 6:00 p.m., when she headed to Malaga. And the second was the last to leave the waters of Cadiz last night. With the possibility of accommodating 600 passengers, she has left for her next stop, Lisbon.

But the reception of large ships this week in the capital does not end here. This Thursday, the Star Pride, a ship that has been under repair in Navantia until mid-April, docks at the Cádiz dock. She arrives at the port to spend the night with capacity for more than 200 passengers. The next day she will head to Lisbon.
