He Rioja Culture Center (CCR) opens its doors with longer hours from this Wednesday, May 1, until next October 1, “due to the influx of visitors who reside and visit Logroño during the coming months” .

He The interest that this center arouses and the importance of visiting it to get to know the center of Logroño and the emergence of the wine industry in the city, make the CCR an essential place when visiting Logroño.

Thus, From this Wednesday, May 1, until October 1, the Rioja Culture Center will open its doors from Monday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thus, both residents of Logroño and tourists will have more time to discover what this municipal space houses..

Currently, the center has two exhibitions open to the public. The first of them, under the title ‘Spirit of wine: wine as a religious value’. It is a journey about the importance of wine from ancient religions and cultures to the present day. It is divided into 4 thematic areas:

From the Tigris to the Nile, the wine of kings and gods.


The nectar of the gods, wine as sacred food.

The vineyard of Yahweh, the wine of promise.

From Cana to Emmaus, the wine of the New Alliance.

In this exhibition, made with funds from the Vivanco Collection, you can discover numerous artistic pieces, some of them not previously exhibited.

The second exhibition in progress, ‘Woman and territory: the female gaze in Rioja Alta’, seeks to make visible and recognize the crucial role that women have played and continue to play in our territory. This exhibition comes from the Association for the Development of Rioja Alta (ADRA).

During the month of May, in addition, activities will be carried out for different audiences as is already common on the agenda of the Rioja Culture Center.
