He Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has several projects in its hands that will be carried out in the province of Toledo, among which is the section of the A-40 that will link the capital of Castile-La Mancha with the town of Ocaña, the third lane of T0-23as well as the bike lane that will link the neighborhoods of Santa Barbara and the Polígono.

As explained by the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano, The Government is finalizing the drafting of the construction project for the first phase, a project that will allow the Azucaica neighborhood and the Polígono through a bridge, a “very important” connection for the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Miracles Toulonwhich, as detailed, will have a budget of 21 million euros.

Actions underway by the Ministry in Toledo

In this sense, the Government delegate in Castilla-La Mancha has highlighted the central Executive’s commitment to improving infrastructure in Toledo and Castilla-La Mancha and its commitment to sustainable urban mobility.

Among them, he has mentioned the bicycle lane and pedestrian route between Santa Barbara and Santa María de Benquerenciain Toledo capital, an action worth 3.6 million euros, whose award contract has been signed and the works will begin “imminently.”

«The works, which have a budget of 3.59 million and an execution period of 26 monthswill allow the creation of a 6.7 kilometer lane that will connect the Santa Bárbara roundabout with Arlés Street and, therefore, with the university hospital,” explained the delegate.

On the other hand, the secretary of state has referred to the construction of the third lane of the TO-23 to improve traffic between the Toledo neighborhoods of Santa Barbara and the Polígono, but did not want to reveal the dates of possible deadlines for the bidding and execution. Even so, he has specified that there will be news about this project soon: “We will announce it soon.”
